Colin Bell MSyl Cert Ed
Training & Development Director
& Founder
Colin Bell is a senior training consultant and international security specialist with over 30 years of operational experience in the military and high-risk environments. A former Royal Marine Commando, Colin has worked globally in training and close protection roles, supporting UK government agencies, NGO's, media organisations, and training international military forces.
Colin has designed and delivered security training in over 15 countries, including Iraq, Ethiopia, Algeria, Tunisia, Qatar, Ukraine, Kenya, Sudan, South Sudan, Nigeria, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. He has led the development of accredited programs such as Highfield Level 3 HEAT and Level 3 SAFE courses, and recently helped train over 1,000 security officers in core security skills in the Middle East. His clients include the UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), UK MOD, UK Embassies overseas, the Home Office, the BBC, ITV, freelance journalists and various humanitarian organisations operating in fragile and complex regions.
His expertise includes:

Diplomatic and executive close protection.
Crisis response, journey management, and risk mitigation
Security curriculum design and development,
Female-focused safety and self-defence training
Colin holds a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, is a Close Protection Instructor (Highfield/Pearson's approved trainer), and maintains active SC clearance. Known for his calm leadership, cultural adaptability, and deep operational insight, Colin plays a key role in helping clients prepare for and operate safely in complex environments worldwide.

Martin McColl
Operations Director
& Founder
Martin McColl is an accomplished security operations leader with over 20 years of experience in military and high-risk private sector environments. His career began with a distinguished 14-year service in the British Army, where he operated in frontline roles across Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Sierra Leone. During this time, he led small teams under pressure, gaining deep expertise in planning, logistics, and field leadership.
After his military career, Martin moved into senior positions in global security and risk management, working with clients in corporate, media, and humanitarian sectors. He has designed and managed security strategies in volatile regions and led high-stakes operations, including global 24/7 operations and personnel oversight in conflict zones.

Martin is also a mentor and trainer, passionate about developing teams and improving operational resilience in complex and hostile environments.

Romano Betts AfCGI SRMC(c)
Senior Consultant
Romano Betts is a seasoned protection officer and trainer with over 25 years of frontline experience in military, private security, and high-risk environments. A former military instructor, he has operated across conflict zones including Ukraine, Libya, and Afghanistan, supporting global media, corporate clients, and humanitarian teams.
Romano’s background includes close protection for high-profile individuals, site security for billion-pound developments, and field leadership in complex, high-pressure situations. Fluent in English and German, he combines practical fieldcraft with a grounded approach to personal and team safety.
He has delivered training in emergency first aid, close protection, and security planning across volatile regions. Romano has also led youth character-building programmes and developed local instructor capacity through direct mentoring.

Romano has completed and been awarded the Level 5 SRMC qualification in Security Risk Management Consultancy. He also holds a Level 3 Award in Education & Training.
